Suzy Jeffreys joined North by Northeast in September of 2007. She served as Office Manager of the City Club of Portland from 2000-2003 and recently returned to Portland after a three-year absence in which she completed an MA in Theology at Regent College in Vancouver, BC. Through her experience volunteering in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, Suzy developed a zeal for community-based social justice. An organizer and list-maker by nature, Suzy is eager to use her administrative skills to help further the mission of North by Northeast.
Virginia Weeks joined North by Northeast in April of 2008 as Clinic Coordinator. She is an Oregon native, but new to Portland. Virginia is happy to be back in the Pacific Northwest after spending the past several years in Colorado, where she completed a degree in Psychology from Colorado College, and later worked for a non-profit organization helping people with developmental disabilities. Virginia first developed an interest in medically underserved communities through her work advocating for immigrant rights in southern Arizona, and is excited to have the opportunity to continue promoting equal access to healthcare with North by Northeast.
